St. Mary's CYO Basketball of East Islip

Welcome to the St. Mary's CYO Basketball League of East Islip. Last year 900 players participated on 50 intramural and 28 travel teams. Please read about our Intramural and Travel Leagues and decide which sounds best for you.

Registration for the 2007/2008 season is now CLOSED. Any child who participated in our program this season will receive a registration form in the mail this summer. If you wish to be added to our mailing list, send us an email with your name and address, requesting to be added. You may also download a registration form from the Registration page on this website or pick one up at the St. Mary's Rectory reception. See our Registration page for registration deadlines.

Virtus Training Workshops for All Coach Volunteers for 2008/2009

All coaches, travel and intramural, this is a mandatory workshop required by all volunteers of St Mary's. We all MUST attend this workshop. the dates it will be held at St Mary's are:

Feb 15th -1-3
March 12- 6-9
March 13 -1030-1230

There are dates available also at the Diocese web site http://www.drvc.org/ .Make sure you receive a receipt that you attended. Again this is coming from the Bishop, so in order to be a coach for next season, we must comply with this. Email me tazewell31@aol.com when you have completed this workshop. WINNERS

The 5th grade boys travel team, coached by Rick Pearsall, was awarded the CYO Sportsmanship Award this season. It is considered the highest honor they bestow. This is the first time Rick has won this award.

Players: Steven Cinquemani, Daniel Coelho, Matthew Conlon, Robert Cronau, Nicholas Fazio, Kevin Hilton, Tyler Pearsall, Cobi Rose and Jonathan Timmins.

The 8th grade boys travel team, coached by Mike Doersam and Steve Sheridan, were awarded the CYO Sportsmanship Award this season. It is considered the highest honor they bestow. This is the second time Mike has won this award.

Players: Joseph Braccioforte, Khalid Carter, Michael Doersam, John Dondero, Steven Frost, Ryan Herbst, Brian McPartland, Matthew Moore, Christian Sheridan and Michael White.

The 5th grade boys travel team, coached by Harley Spinks and Artie McCoy, won their league championship. THis is Harley's first championship and Artie's 4th.

Players: Zach Acocella, Tyler Clehane, Brendan Ehrhart, Tavon Ginyard, Luke McCoy, Stephen McKenna, Sean Sconone, Harley Spinks, Kevin Vanek and Brennan Walsh.
